Maryland Weekend Goes Virtual

Maryland Weekend

Maryland Weekend would typically be held in Emmitsburg for the much-anticipated event. However, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, next year’s event will be held virtually from Feb. 20-21, 2021.

Todd Dyche, MFRI’s regional coordinator who organizes the event, says although Maryland Weekend will be held virtually, it will still be as impactful as it was in person. “The current pandemic has created unique possibilities to capture audiences in a virtual format, which can be challenging. However, the NFA is embracing this opportunity to reach states that may have never had an opportunity to host a State Weekend previously,” said Dyche.

This year’s courses include:

  • Fire Investigation: First Responders
  • Fire Safety Culture: Who Protects Firefighters from Firefighters
  • Health and Safety Program Manager
  • Youth Firesetter Program Manager I
  • Preparations for Initial Company Operations
  • Training Supervision

Registration is now open to all interested fire, rescue & EMS personnel who wish to attend these sessions. To learn more about Maryland Weekend or view the brochure visit Maryland Weekend
