Port and Shipboard Firefighting Seminar

This all day seminar is presented in conjunction with the Tri State Maritime Safety Association. This program is designed for first arriving shipboard firefighting personnel and other interested Emergency Services personnel.
The morning session is an introduction to the problems associated with marine responses including jurisdiction, operating in the marine environment, terminology, types of ships and facilities, problems unique to marine responses, tactical considerations, safety, and incident management.
The afternoon session will review case studies on fires involving large marine vessels while in port; fire and rescue operations, common problems facing fire and rescue teams and lessons learned.
The seminar will conclude with a question and answer opportunity.
